Abstract
To applied of basic data for cost benefit effects of sealant on occlusal surface caries prevention, measured the occusal surface area and ratio of reduced surface area before and after sealant, volume and maximum depth of sealant by three
dimensional
machines and thereafter using a computer driven prolimetric system. The samples of this study were used extracted premolars of no occlusal caries for orthodontic treatment.
@ES The following results were obtained:
@EN 1. Occlusal mean surface area of before and after sealant on premolars were different. (p<0.05).
2. Ratio of reduced occlusal surface after sealing on premolars was 0.74%.
3. Mean volume of sealant applied premolars was 1.86§§.
4. Maximum mean depth of sealant applied to upper and lower premolars were 0.74§®.
